    Spruce Pine Potters Market

    October 11 - 12, 2025
    31 Cross Street
    Spruce Pine, NC

Come see me at my favorite local pottery show. I'm always inspired by all of the potters who live and work around me, this is a chance for us to gather together for this beautiful pottery show!

The Spruce Pine Potters Market is an annual show that is managed and organized by our artists who live and work in a two county area of western North Carolina. The rich history of craft in this mountain region, along with the renowned Penland School of Craft, has brought these artists to call this area home. Our unique combination of ceramic artists sets the stage for a dynamic show.

  • Roll into Relief, Self Massage and Gentle Yoga

    November 1, 2025
    2:30 - 5 pm
    Mineral City Yoga
    Spruce Pine, NC

As an artist, I've learned in order to support my creative pursuits in my clay studio that I must incorporate self care into my daily life. Through regular movement and self massage I've managed back and neck pain that I have had from working as a potter. I love to share the things I've learned that work for me in yoga classes and workshops. Read on about my upcoming workshop:

Do you ever feel tight, stiff, achy, or weighed down by stress in your neck, shoulders, low back, hips, or feet? In this workshop, we’ll explore how simple ball-rolling techniques can help release knots, relieve chronic tension, improve circulation, and restore mobility—giving you the tools to recover faster, move with ease, and feel lighter in your body. After beginning with gentle yoga to warm and prepare the muscles, you’ll learn how to use tennis or lacrosse balls to massage fascia and target specific areas of discomfort.

We’ll practice different rolling methods at the wall and on the mat, tuning into our own body’s signals and using the breath to soften tight spots and calm the nervous system. You’ll leave not only with the immediate relief of a deep reset, but also with skills you can take home for lasting self-care, flexibility, and resilience. All levels are welcome.
